Coral reefs are one of the most productive and diverse ecosystems in the world. However, coral reefs are vulnerable to environmental changes resulting from human activities in the vicinity and climate change. My research interest is to understand the interactions between the environment and the biota that live on coral reefs and to understand how changes in coral reef conditions affect coral reef communities. I have been working as a research assistant in the Research Center for Oceanography, LIPI in Indonesia since 2014 and help monitor coral reefs in Indonesia. During that time, coral bleaching occurred several times in several locations in Indonesia due to coral reefs to increase sea surface temperature. For my MO, I am studying the impact of the 2016 coral bleaching event in Wakatobi National Park and its effect on coral reef communities. When not doing research, I like to play with my family and go to the beach to just play in the sand or swim. After graduating, I will continue to research coral reefs and apply my knowledge to help conserve coral reefs.
